Nadekheko Nepal is one of the series broadcasted by the new T.V channel named Galaxy 4K. Yesterday they released their first Episode where they showed the life of Sex workers.
As per their report, there are thousands of people engaged in Sex work to sustain their livelihood. Among which girls from the village who came to Kathmandu for studies are more involved in these activities. One of the three girls presented in the Episode was a girl who was involved in sex work when she was just 14 years. Hotel, Broker, Girls, and the customer are the chains in their work. Brokers make contact with the customer and make a deal with the hotels. Hotels make contact with the girls and get their work done.
This activity has resulted in the rise of HIV. More than 30 thousand people are suffering currently as per the report. Among them, many are a sex worker who has been working without realizing the consequence. Who do you think is responsible?
